(August 21st, 1927 – June 20, 2025)
On June 20, 2025, we lost a generous, kind-hearted woman whose impact on Hamilton High School students will be felt for generations. For over a decade, Marjorie Wrezic was a passionate supporter of post-secondary education and a beloved partner of the Hamilton Education Foundation.
Through her vision and generosity, she helped shape the futures of dozens of Hamilton graduates and inspired countless others.
In August 2013, Marjorie—moved by the quality of education her granddaughters Lauren and Ashley received at Hamilton—partnered with the Hamilton Education Foundation to establish the Marjorie Wrezic Scholarship in memory of her late husband, Ralph Wrezic.
The first scholarships were awarded in spring 2014, making it the largest scholarship initiative in the school's history.
•Multiple $10,000 awards for seniors pursuing a 4‑year degree, and $5,000 awards for those entering technical or trade programs
•Up to 7 scholarships awarded annually
•Recognizes students entering college, technical education, or careers in trades.
“I have had a long life full of more experiences than you can imagine… It is my goal to give back some of the blessings I have received to help children who want to succeed… Remember that no matter the difficulties in life, ‘Learn from your Mistakes’ and always ‘Apply Yourself.’ … I must also thank my late husband, Ralph Wrezic… Without whom this scholarship would not be possible.”
—Marjorie Wrezic
Marjorie was born in 1927 on a farm in Arcadia, Wisconsin, and came of age during the Great Depression. She faced adversity early in life—including the loss of her mother at age 15—but maintained a steadfast belief in the power of perseverance and education.
She raised a family of her own with Ralph, who built a successful trucking business from humble beginnings. Together, they believed in the importance of giving back, and Marjorie brought that belief to life through her philanthropic work.
• Over $250,000 and 45 scholarships have been granted since inception
• Recipients include aspiring nurses, engineers, lawyers, dietitians, tradespeople, and more.
• Marjorie loved following recipients' journeys and staying connected with them.
Beyond Hamilton, the Wrezic family supports Milwaukee Rescue Mission and Ronald McDonald House Charities* Eastern WI.
“I have chosen to establish the Hamilton Education Foundation Marjorie Wrezic Scholarship… I have had a long life filled with many experiences… It is my goal to give back some of the blessings I have received… Remember that… ‘Learn from your Mistakes’ and always ‘Apply Yourself.’”
