Grants for Educators
Grant Application Process
Phase 1: Obtain Concept Approval from principal and district administrative team. (Concept Approval is not needed for the Project 360 Grant)
Phase 2: Upon Concept Approval, submit the Grant Application (For Project 360 Grant this is the only form needed)
Phase 3: Schedule a Presentation of the Concept with the HEF Foundation (presentation is not needed for the New Horizons or Project 360 Grants)
Phase 4: Submit an Final Report at the completion of the project (if approved)

Fine Arts Performance in HFAC Grant
Grants from $751 and up are available for Fine Arts Performances in the Hamilton Fine Arts Center (HFAC) that offer enrichment programs for students and performances for the public. These grants fund artists from outside the school district who will conduct workshops/clinics for the students during the school day and who will perform in the evening in the HFAC for the enrichment of community attendees.
New Horizons Grant
Grants up to $750 are available for unique, innovative classroom projects which enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities that directly benefit students. This is an opportunity to develop ideas for classroom enrichment not usually possible within the normal school budget restrictions.
Grant for the Arts
Grants from $751 and up are available for enrichment programs for students in the Arts. These may include artists-in-residence, artists from outside the school district, programs and projects that will enrich the learning experiences of students in all areas of the arts curriculum, as well as supplement teaching efforts in those areas.
STEPS Grant for Teachers
“Signatures of Teachers in Enrichment Programs in Summer” (STEPS) is a program for teachers interested in attending off campus seminars, workshops, conferences, or externships for learning classroom activities for enriching and enhancing classroom instruction for the benefit of the students.
Grants are for up to $1,500 and there is a maximum of three grants per teacher.
Technology Grant
Grants from $751 and up are available to fund technology projects and/or equipment for the classroom or for a course of study. These grants offer an opportunity to develop and implement into established curriculum ideas and projects not usually possible within the normal school budget. Grants will be given for creative and innovative projects in which technology will enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities that directly benefit students enrolled in a specific curriculum.
Excel Grant
Grants from $751 and up are available to fund Cultural or Educational projects, and equipment and/or resource costs for the classroom that are not possible within normal school budget. Grants will be made for innovative, creative, or unique projects, which enrich or supplement teaching efforts and learning activities in the curriculum that directly benefit students.
